Spot Share
A private, mobile-first app for groups of friends to collect destinations and places for future trips. Instead of links lost in a chat, the group keeps one shared list of spots that anyone can add to.
The idea
- Private by design. You get in with an account, and an invitation names one person, so a group stays a group.
- Collect from anywhere. Save a place you found online and let the app fill in the details for you.
- Built for the phone. It is a web app you can install and use like a native one.
How I am building it
This one is also an exercise in doing the engineering properly, end to end:
- The product is specified before it is built, and the important technical decisions are written down as architecture decision records.
- Tests are layered on purpose: unit and component tests, integration tests against a real database, browser journeys for the core flows, automated accessibility checks and visual regression.
- Accessibility is a requirement from the start, not a later pass.
- AI agents are part of the workflow, both as helpers while building and inside the product.
